Congratulations! you have such an exciting time ahead. You are going to be a mum but like any other mum, who may be starting a family you may be asking yourself these types of questions: Do I breastfeed my child? How do you introduce solids? How do I prepare for a lifetime of serving this little creature, their emotional health, physical health, mental health. Is it true what they say... do you stop being yourself to care for your child? If any or all of these things resonated with you, you are in the right place! Just stopping by shows that you want to discover different ways to embrace motherhood the best way that’s right for you and your family.
Now, in our modern-day-era we have access to all sorts of information from every kind of source imaginable. We have the freedom to choose what we want to read and who we want to take advice from. The advantage here comes from being able to recognise the quality of the information that has been put in front of you. I have a bachelor in Nursing as well as a Bachelor in Medical Engineering, which made me super passionate in retrieving evidence-based information that I think all mamas should readily be able to view.
I’ll be honest, there were times when I was also scared, confused and overwhelmed by a lot of different information I was told. Five years down the track after having my first born I decided to gather some of the most common topics I saw as the most challenging in motherhood, and provide science-based research to help mothers make their own informed decisions. Ultimately, this is why I created this blog. I will shine light on many different topics, from breastfeeding to how to prepare for your child's first year at school, as well as products. Keep your eyes peeled, because in the first topic I will be exposing why breastfeeding is more painful for some mothers.
